Our History
Cherry’s on the bay and Cherry Lane Cafe are iconic parts of Cherry Grove's history, and we are proud to serve as a central hub for entertainment, dining, and community.
Over the years, we’ve built a reputation for our welcoming atmosphere, amazing drag performances, themed parties, and, of course, great food and drinks.
From legendary queens like Hedda Lettuce and Bianca Del Rio gracing our stage to unforgettable nights with guest DJs, Cherry’s has always been a place where people come together to celebrate, dance, and make memories.
We’ve seen generations of visitors embrace the spirit of Cherry Grove, and it’s been an honor to be part of that experience.
In 2015, we mourned the loss of our original co-owner, Lois McIntosh, whose passion and love for Cherry's helped shape what it is today.
In August 2024, we turned the page to a new chapter when longtime owner Jacqué Piazza passed the torch to new proprietors, ensuring Cherry’s continues to thrive for years to come.
